Job description : A. EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering B. EXPERIENCE: Five years of professional experience, preferably in the oil or similar process industry, including at least two (2) years as Saudi Aramco Inspector Engineering or four (4) years of direct inspection experience. -ORA. Completion of ITC: English, ERW; Math, MT; Science, ST. B. Experience required: Thirteen (13) years minimum. Must have 2 years experience as Saudi Aramco Inspector Engineering or 13 years industrial experience including 10 years inspection experience in the assigned discipline. C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: A thorough knowledge of English is required to perform work as described and make clear and concise verbal and written reports and keep up with technical advancements. Arabic not required, but desirable for expatriate incumbents in this position. Must read, write and speak English fluently. D. Must have a valid Saudi drivers license. E. Must have good vision (20/20 normal or corrected) and be in good physical condition. F. Must be willing to work at high elevations and in confined spaces. G. Must be willing to work in assigned areas. H. Must be computer literate with competence in Microsoft Office products (i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of other SA systems utilized within the specific discipline and required by the individual Depts. I. Must meet one of the inspection discipline specific requirements given below. OTHER: Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US Codes, Standards and Specifications. CIVIL/PLUMBING/HVAC: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the applicable Saudi Aramco Standards. Must be able to demonstrate through ID Certification program or equivalent a thorough working knowledge of the Uniform Building code, Uniform Plumbing Code. Uniform Building Code and Uniform Plumbing Code Certification Test conducted by and certification issued by Inspection Dept. or any recognized certifying entity. Preferred to have ICBO or ACI certification, and Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA). ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the applicable Saudi Aramco Standards. Must be able to demonstrate through ID Certification program or equivalent a thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) certification test conducted by and certification issued by Inspection Dept. or any recognized certifying entity. Must have experience in analog, digital, and pneumatic instruments. Must be certified NICET Level II in Industrial Instrumentation and Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent. Preferred to have NCPCCI certification in Electrical General, or equivalent. Also, Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA) and NACE Corrosion Technologist and IAEI-Residential Electrical Inspector. CRANE: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of applicable codes such as ANSI A17.1, ANSI B30.1 through B30.16 and/or applicable Saudi Aramco standards. Must meet ASME/ANSI requirements of a Competent (Qualified) Person for cranes or be ASME QE-1 Certified Inspector for elevators, or equivalent. PLANT AND EQUIPMENT/WELDING: Must meet the qualification requirements for certification to SAEP-1140 Level II, or equivalent, and Must have current certification as: Level II in PT, MT, and UTTG. Must have current certification as SA Level II Coating Inspector. Must be certified AWSCWI or CSWIP 3.1. Must be certified to API 570. Must attend API 510 & API 570 Preparation Courses and take relative class exams. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of codes such as ASME Section I, V, VIII and IX, ASME B31.3, and/or applicable Saudi Aramco Standards. Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA). COATINGS: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the 'H' series of Saudi Aramco standards and approved manufacturer's data sheets, or equivalent. Must be Saudi Aramco Level II Certified Coatings Inspector and Certified NACE Level II Coating Inspector, or equivalent. RELIEF VALVES: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Company and National Standards e.g. ASME, API, ANSI etc. in relation to requirements for relief valves. Must be currently API 570, AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certified. TELECOMMUNICATIONS: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of North American or international outside-plant telecommunication standards such as GTE, NEC, Sec. 800, Building Industry Consulting Services International Methods (BICSI) and applicable Saudi Aramco Engineering standards. Must be registered as RCDD/OSP and Installer by BICSI, or equivalent. VENDOR QUALITY CONTROL: Must have a good knowledge of inspection practices, fabrication methods and industrial standards. Must have a thorough knowledge of ISO-9000 quality systems requirements and hold a recognized qualification as a Quality Assurance Assessor. Must meet all of one of the other inspection discipline specific Minimum Requirements, as given in this Sr. Inspector Engineering Job Description. Same as specific discipline requirements. Must be certified AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1. Must be certified to API 570. Must attend API 510 & API 570 Preparation Courses and take relative class exams. Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified Provisional auditor (IRCA/RABQSA). VENDOR QUALITY ASSURANCE: Must have a good knowledge of inspection practices, fabrication methods and industrial standards. Must have a thorough knowledge of ISO-9000 quality systems requirements and hold a recognized qualification as a Quality Assurance Assessor. Must meet all of one of the other inspection discipline specific Minimum Requirements, as given in this Sr. Inspector Engineering Job Description. Must be a Quality Management System registered/certified Lead Auditor (IRCA/RABQSA). NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING: Certifications Required: (Conventional NDT Personnel) a) RT-II, RTFI, MT-II, PT-II and VT-II. OR b) UT-II, PT-II, MT-II and VT-II. OR c) Have previously held requirements a) or b) as stated above, for a minimum period of 3 years. In no case will the incumbent currently hold less than three (3) Level II certifications. Certifications Required: (Advanced NDT Personnel) a) VT-II and AE-II, or IR-II, or ET-II. OR b) VT-II plus two (2) other methods at Level II. Completion of recognized training in NDT operations auditing. Completion of recognized advanced training in ionizing radiation safety (for radiographers only). Must have passed radiation safety examinations. Must have passed the work permit course. Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified Provisional auditor (IRCA/RABQSA). CATHODIC PROTECTION: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, 'X' series and cathodic protection related Company Standards Drawings. Must be currently Certified NACE CP Corrosion Technologist, or equivalent.
