A. A Bachelor of Science Engineering degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: chemical, fire protection, civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental OR A Bachelors of Science degree in occupational safety, health physics, environmental, science, industrial hygiene, biology, or chemistry. B. A total of 10 years' experience in the Hydrocarbon, petrochemicals, o r related industries including at least 5 years in safety/loss prevention. The overall experience can include areas such as: operations, maintenance, and plant engineering, but the 5 years safety experience should include some areas such as safety program development, motor vehicle fleet safety, fire prevention, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety management, process hazards analysis, incident investigation and the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes . C. Ability to communicate in technical English with peers as well as division heads, department heads, and admin. area heads. Must be able to produce clear, concise oral and written reports in English. Must be computer literate with word processing, spreadsheet, power point, web browsing, e-mail programs and audio-visual aids. D) Must have in-depth knowledge of modern safety management systems, processes, and techniques applicable to the oil/gas or related industries. Must also have acute knowledge of loss prevention engineering and safety management practices applicable to the oil and gas industries. Must possess detailed knowledge of U.S., European, and industry fire and safety codes, recommended practices, standards and specifications and will be expected to quickly acquire corresponding knowledge of Saudi Aramco General Instructions, Engineering Standards and Procedures. Incumbent will have a sound understanding of safety in oil/gas or related operations and solid knowledge of oil/gas operations or operations specific to his area of responsibility, e.g., marine operations or aviation operations. |
